problema query sql dopo upgrade mysql

ciao ragazzi,
ho un problema con un oscommerce migrato da un mysql4 ad un mysql5. non ci ho mai messo mano, né saprei farlo più di tanto (non sono un programmatore), e quindi non so come convertire la query.
per capire meglio di cosa sto parlando, mi riferisco a questo known problem.
ora, sarebbe facile se la query da modificare fosse quella originale o molto simile. in realtà sono state cambiate parecchie cose, quindi non mi raccapezzo più di tanto.
direi che il problema è "tutto qui".
